Chairman Call’s election statement

GREENWOOD VILLAGE—Colorado Republican Party Chairman Ryan Call issued the following statement, in response to the 2012 election results:

“Heading into this election, the Colorado Republican Party helped coordinate one of the best ground game operations in memory. Thousands of committed and hard-working volunteers knocked on twice as many doors and made three times as many phone calls as we did in 2008. And the Colorado Republican Party invested more direct resources in support of Congressional and state legislative races than we have in a decade.

“This was a state that Obama won by nine points in the last election cycle. The tough battle he had to fight this time around says something about the damage his and the Democrats' failed economic policies have done to Colorado's struggling families and business owners.

“The Republican Party stands for those enduring principles of limited government, personal responsibility, and freedom and opportunity.  And we are still that Party.

“And so tonight we respect the will of the people, though Colorado Republicans will also continue to fight for conservative principles and common sense reforms to help get Colorado families and businesses back to work.”
