Internship Opportunity
The Colorado State Republican Party is seeking interns for the spring, summer, and fall of 2013. Working with the state party can give students an opportunity to be a part of the political process during an exciting political year for Colorado. In addition, interns will have an opportunity to gain experience with field operations, special events planning, public relations, and campaign support for local, state, and Federal candidates. Interning with the Colorado GOP will provide students with a well-rounded and exciting political experience. Intern responsibilities would include research, writing, data collection, volunteer recruitment and management, working on team projects, office support, and communication with Republican organizations across the state as well as members of the State Party.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess strong communication skills, writing and research ability, willingness to work in a team environment, and an interest in politics. Interns also need proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in campaigning or other political efforts is a plus but is not required. The Colorado State Republican Party does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, age, disability, religion, creed, veteran status, or political affiliation.
Compensation
Internships are unpaid positions; however, students may receive school or university credit for their work, if permitted by their high school or university.
