Statement: Polis’ appointee to veterinary board charged with animal cruelty

Greenwood Village, Colorado – Colorado GOP Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown released the following statement today regarding the news that Ellen Kessler, Jared Polis’ appointee to the Colorado Veterinary Board, and who previously resigned after making derogatory remarks about ranchers and farmers has been charged with 11 counts of animal cruelty:

“Jared Polis has stood silent while Ellen Kessler attacked farmers, defamed ranchers, smeared Colorado’s 4-H clubs, and now, committed disgusting acts of animal cruelty. Polis’ silence only proves that he would rather stand with Kessler and his far-left supporters over Colorado’s rural communities. Coloradans deserve more than Polis’ cowardly and pathetic silence.”
