Chairman Call: Romney fights to strengthen the middle class, Obama works for more government
GREEWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.—Today, Colorado Republican Party Chairman Ryan Call denounced a newly uncovered video of then-state Sen. Barack Obama discussing his vision of the proper role of government. In the video, Obama advocates for a system that will pool resources and facilitate redistribution because, as he claims, “I actually believe in redistribution."
Call responded to the President’s words by highlighting how they contrast to Gov. Mitt Romney’s plan to turn around the country’s sluggish economy.
“Free enterprise has done more to lift people out of poverty than any other government program in the history of mankind. Mitt Romney believes in the strength of the American people, not more government.”
Call continued:
“Governor Romney has brought to this campaign proven solutions that will put Americans back to work and strengthen the middle class. His Five Point Plan, which focuses on education, energy, national security, a balanced budget and real health care reform, offers voters something President Obama does not—belief in Americans’ ability to turn the economy around through ingenuity, hard work and opportunity.”
