Greenwood Village, Colorado. – Colorado GOP Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown released the following statement today on the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks:
“21 years ago, our lives and country changed forever. September 11th, 2001, was a day when the world stopped turning. We lost friends, family members, and too many extraordinary heroes. On this solemn anniversary, we honor and remember those innocent lives and the selfless first responders and veterans who patriotically answered the call to serve. Today, we pray for the community and families of those we lost. In his address to the nation on the night of 9/11, President George W. Bush spoke of the comfort given to us “by a power greater than any of us, spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: ‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.'” We will never forget. God bless America!”
