Greenwood Village, Colorado. – This morning, the Cook Political Report downgraded the Democrats’ prospects in the Colorado Senate race. Cook Political changed the Colorado Senate race from a “Likely D” to a “Lean D.” Another top GOP pickup opportunity currently rated as “Lean D” is the New Hampshire Senate race.
This shift proves that Michael Bennet’s failing campaign and pathetic Senate record isn’t gaining traction with Colorado voters. Cook describes “lean” rated races as “competitive races, but one party has an advantage” and “likely” rated races as seats that “are not competitive at this point, but have the potential to be engaged.”
Statement from Colorado GOP Executive Director Joe Jackson: “This ratings shift proves what we all know: Michael Bennet is vulnerable and will be beaten in November. Bennet has chosen to stand fully with Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer instead of fighting for the people of Colorado. Joe O’Dea is that fighter and a candidate who won’t be beholden to Biden and the far-left radicals in Washington.”
