Greenwood Village, CO. – With all that is going on, you may have missed some terrible news this morning for the Colorado Democrat Party. The latest election ratings from the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics shows two Colorado House races (CD-08 & CD-07) shifting towards the GOP.
The 8th Congressional race between State Senator Barbara Kirmeyer and State Representative Yadira Caraveo shifted from “Toss-up” to “Leans Republican.” They write that they had previously considered changing this seat to “Leans Republican” immediately after the primary but held off because of the Dobbs decision. It is also noted that the Democrat strategy to meddle in the CD-08 Republican primary was a complete failure.
Meanwhile, the 7th Congressional race between political newcomer Erik Aadland and State Senator Brittany Pettersen also shifted closer to the Republican side. They note the fact that “we sometimes see huge midterm shifts toward the opposition party in open seats.”
Statement from Colorado GOP Executive Director Joe Jackson: “Both Caraveo and Pettersen stand in lock step with Joe Biden and his radical, failed agenda. These ratings change just proves what we all know: Colorado voters are sick and tired of the failed policies pushed by Democrats here in Colorado and Democrats in Washington. We will be sending both Sen. Kirkmeyer and Erik Aadland to Congress in November.”
