Greenwood Village, CO. – Colorado GOP Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown released the following statement today regarding the newly released Consumer Price Index (CPI) data which shows a 9.1 percent inflation rate, the highest rate in 41 years:

“Once again, during the Biden era, Coloradans have woken up to the news that inflation has increased again to another historic level. Today’s inflation number of 9.1 percent is larger than most economists were predicting and is the largest inflation rate in more than four decades.

“The failed economic leadership of Joe Biden, Michael Bennet, and Jared Polis has had a TERRIBLE impact on Colorado families who are working too hard to just squeak by. It’s time to elect Republican leaders who won’t support reckless inflationary government spending. It’s time to elect Republican leaders who will support American energy independence and lower gas prices. It’s time to elect Republican leaders who actually care about Colorado families and their futures. Luckily voters have the opportunity to elect those Republican leaders in 117 days.”
