Hope Scheppelman lives on the Western Slope in the small town of Bayfield, Colorado. She served her Country in the United States Navy (2000-2004). She was stationed in Norfolk, VA on board the aircraft carrier the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), as well as Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as a Hospital Corpsman.
With over 30 years of experience in the medical field, Hope is a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner by profession. She completed her Master of Nursing in 2019, then trained at the Mayo Clinic in Open Heart Surgery. The # 1 Hospital in the Nation. The training was intense and allowed her to draw on knowledge and skills from various disciplines. Her expertise lies in providing exceptional community outreach from rural hospitals to the top-level ICUs during the COVID pandemic.
Hope continues to serve her community as a Precinct Committee Person (PCP) and is the Secretary of the La Plata County GOP.
Hope has been happily married to her husband Steven for 18 years. They enjoy target practice on the property, gardening, snowboarding, and spending time with their 3 Great Pyrenees dogs, 3 cats, and many chickens.
As your Vice Chair, Hope is focused on winning elections. She is committed to community outreach, training, and Republican candidate support. This is mission-critical to turn Colorado RED again!
